1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ProofID ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ProofID is a proof-of-work identity platform that allows independent workers, freelancers, and professionals to create verifiable portfolios showcasing their skills, work samples, and testimonials. The platform provides tools for profile creation, verification codes, QR code verification, trust certificates, a template marketplace, and client communication.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Promptly update your information if it changes
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you upload to ProofID. By uploading content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content as necessary to provide the Service. You represent that:

  • You own or have rights to share the content
  • Your content does not infringe on any third-party rights
  • Your content is accurate and not misleading
  • Your content does not violate any laws or regulations

5. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
  • Use automated tools to scrape or collect data
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
  • Upload content that is obscene, defamatory, or offensive

6. Subscriptions and Payments

ProofID offers free and paid subscription plans:

  • Payments are processed securely through Razorpay
  • Subscription fees are billed monthly and are non-refundable
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice

7. Verification System

ProofID provides verification codes and QR codes to help establish trust. These codes verify that content is hosted on our platform but do not constitute an endorsement of skills or quality of work. Users are responsible for the accuracy of their profiles. Trust certificates generated through ProofID reflect a snapshot of the user's verification status at the time of issuance.

8. Template Marketplace

ProofID provides a marketplace for users to publish, share, and purchase professional templates. By publishing a template, you agree that:

  • You own or have the rights to distribute the template content
  • The template does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property
  • Pricing is set by the author and processed via Razorpay
  • ProofID may remove templates that violate these terms
  • Refund requests for paid templates are handled on a case-by-case basis
  • Template reviews must be honest and based on actual usage

9. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding user content), features, and functionality are owned by ProofID and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDUCT OF USERS OR THE ACCURACY OF USER CONTENT.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PROOFID SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
